When Luke was an infant and fit into the very portable infant seat he NEVER fell asleep in the car. I even had the "travel system" where the infant seat fits into the stroller so you never have to wake a sleeping baby to transport them. I don't know if I ever used this feature. When he fit into the infant seat he hated the car so much that he never stopped screaming long enough to let the movement lull him to sleep.
Well, now that Luke is in the huge carseat that latches in the car and is 600 pounds he often falls asleep in the car. For a while he would transfer from the car to his bed easily. Lately, he has been waking up when you unbuckle him. So this is what we have resorted to. Nat carries the huge child and huge carseat into his room and we get ready for bed and then transfer him from the seat to his bed once he is in a state of deep sleep and the trip is shorter.
Still, there is something so angelic about that sleeping boy isn't there?

just looking at that little foot i can almost feel it. Luke has the smoothest skin. he's so sweet. i just want to squeeze him all the time.
