Tomorrow = Two Weeks Later
Remember that one time I said I would post more tomorrow? Well, I never specified WHICH tomorrow... (that was a very Spencer-y thing for me to say haha!)
Well, here are some of the things that are happening around our house (or Sandra's house in this video...)
Addie growls, grunts and uses her lower register to communicate. A few weeks ago Caleb said: "I think that Adelaide is cute, but I think that Tamara's baby makes cuter sounds." Later that day, she started making noises like this:
and has ever since. Just proving her dad wrong, I guess.
Finally, babies are funny. I have no idea when/where she learned this, but here you go.
p.s. My Addie is nine months old today! I am freaking out just a leeeetle bit. In three months she will be a year old! AHHH!

Elijah Nathan
About two months ago, a friend of mine and his wife had a baby boy. I finally got the chance to meet him recently. Look at those parents glow...

Daughter of Meg
Every time I go into my local grocery store, I am confronted with this:
I cringe every time, because it's a professionally printed sign, people! No one noticed that it was grammatically atrocious? I just want to bring my sharpie and scribble out those apostrophes. I forgive it though because this store has a beautiful, and I mean beautiful produce section. Now, I'm sure that I've had my share of grammar goofs, but come on now. Anyone as weird as me?
p.s. I got a funny look from an employee when I was taking this. It was awesome.

Happy Halloween!
Here is our sweet baby mermaid. A big thank you to Emily for making the costume while I watched.

On Wednesday we went to Sandra's house and carved pumpkins. Isn't Caleb's cute? I accidentally carved Jack Skellington's eyes lopsided but I think he turned out pretty well.
Adelaide leaned how to growl just in time for Halloween- scary! (And she got her first tooth on Tuesday. Now THAT'S scary.) The first video is her menacing growl. The second is just funny.

Elder Donaldson
Mom just sent me these pictures of Spencer. Doesn't he look good? Spencer and tan were never words that went together, but now look at him. These were taken earlier today at Jack's baptism. (Some of you may remember him from Spencer's first area.) This is Elder Weeks (his first companion)
And this is Elder Bott. (His companion now.)
We love our missionary and pray for him everyday. Keep those pictures coming Mom!

Photo Shoot: Part Two
Last Monday our little family trooped to Lehi to get Addie's six month pictures done. We had decided that we weren't going to do them at all but by then it was too late to cancel, and boy am I glad we didn't. Look at this scrumptious child. Angela is a friend of my sister-in-law Leah and she did such a great job. She already posted most of my favorites so I'll just let you look at those. I do like this family picture better though. This one may be coming soon to a Christmas card near you!

(Ok this one is pretty cute too...)

The Adelaide Show
This post is for you, Mom. This first video is a little long, but it's the only example of Addie doing this "da-da-da" thing that she does. Listen for her cute sigh too. She gets so sick of that stupid camera.
This next one is from a few days ago. She is so close to crawling...
Notice how she goes for the camera case and not the toy. Typical isn't it?
There is one more video on Caleb's blog, so I won't upload it again. (Scroll down to the bottom of the post for the video. You've already seen these other pictures, but they're still cute.) There you go Mom!

What Is It About the Good Old Days?
A few days ago, I was hanging clothes out on the line at my mother-in-law's house with a couple of these milling around my feet:
and I couldn't believe how relaxing it was. It was just me, the cats and some warm afternoon wind. It was strange how satisfying the whole chore was. Maybe it's my pioneer blood, or maybe I was just feeling homesick for Nauvoo, but there was just something quiet and...honest about hanging my clothes outside to dry in the sun.

Then I heard Addie crying inside, and my meditative moment was over. When I took the clothes down, they were stiff, but they smelled like sun. I'm going to make Caleb put a clothesline in our yard when we get a house.

Happy Fall!
The colors on the trees are starting to change, and it's not miserable to be outside at two in the afternoon. Fall is officially here. We went to the park by our house early last week. Addie LOVED the swing.

Then on Sunday we went on a drive up Provo canyon. It was Adelaide's nap time. Can you tell? She won't look at the camera for anything. But she did love grabbing leaves off the trees and trying to put them in her mouth. Yum.

That was the day she got a stomach bug. So- Happy Fall everyone!

New Blog
I have started a new blog. It is natandcarrie.blogspot.com. I will be posting the day-to-day musings there while I will reserve this blog for stuff only close friends and family would care about/understand. When I post there I will also post here to let you know there is something new to see. The new blog is public (for now).
Love to you all!

Milestones
In the last two weeks, Addie has surprised me with all of the new things she's doing. She's getting into things: (don't worry, nothing made it into her mouth, Mom.)

Getting stuck under things:

Figuring out how to sit up:

And discovering the joy of food.

I'm so amazed by how much she is changing. It's silly, but I'm pretty emotional when I think about it. Stop, baby girl. Just stay how you are right now. But then I wouldn't get to see what's next- watch her being completely entertained by a water bottle for half an hour, notice her smug look when she balances on her hands and knees for almost a minute at a time, and hear her start to say "a-da-da-da." I love it, but it does make me want to listen to this Nil Lara song and cry. Anyone with me?

National Zoo
While I don't think we'll make it there every week like we made it to Madison's Vilas Zoo we have discovered and explored our local zoo. The boys were in heaven. Luke loved the Panda and the Elephants because "we don't have those at our zoo" (he still talks about living in Madison in the present tense). Noah loved everything because he always loves everything. Nat and I were glad to see our little ones so happy.
