Happy Happy Birthday to you...

Mom gave Isaac a Kit Kat while I had my back turned

All I am I owe to this admirable woman. Our daily conversations sustain and support me through the challenges of mothering three small boys. Her influence spans the world, as she has mothered our friends who are now far and wide. I am sure that they, as I do, remember her kindness, her sense of humor, and her listening ear. There are not words to properly thank this woman for all she has done.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Thomas Turns One!

Look at this boy's eyes. He has changed so much from the squishy little baby who disobediently chose to be born while I was visiting Carrie.

(We were trying to find good lighting in the early January evening, and this is what we came up with.)

Happy Birthday, Thomas!

Dear Carrie,

Here are the pictures you asked me to post. I told Adelaide to smile because we were going to post these for you, and here were the results:

Like her static hair? Me too. Thanks for the cute shirt, Aunt Carrie and Co.

Love,

Ashley and Addie

Sledding

Adelaide sleds down the hill for the first time with a car mechanic.

AnnaLisa decides not to watch as Jefferson sends Semisi down a pretty steep hill by himself.

She instead watches Meliame who wants nothing to do with the snow.

See what I mean?

Terse.

I can't tell if Eliza is having fun or not...

I promise I'm not as pregnant as I look here.

Orianna and Addie are pulled around in a sled. Adelaide almost falls asleep.

Caleb braves the jump.

So does Paul.

Then Adelaide really does fall asleep.

Christmas Replay

Christmas Eve eve cookie decorating...

followed by caroling and distribution of aforementioned cookies.

The Christmas Eve Nativity at Sandra's house with a very cute angel and ninja-looking King Herod.

Annika and Ansel play Mary and Joseph. (Annika was a very attentive mother.)

The angel steals baby Jesus.

Don't worry- she'll take good care of Him.

Christmas morning Caleb helps Adelaide open her Santa presents.

Then Christmas breakfast.

And some tears while we opened the rest of the presents.

She loved all the books she got this year. (And so does her mom.) She also walked around hugging her shirt from Carrie saying "birdy shirt".

Then to complete the evening was AnnaLisa's homemade peppermint ice cream cake.

Hope your holidays were sweet!
