Here she is saying hello to Alonzo P. Raymond. (Her ancestor.)

And here we are with my dad, getting back to our roots. Feels good to be on a covered wagon. For five seconds. Until Addie wanted to get down.
Other highlights of our trip include: (but are not limited to) watching Adelaide eat an In-N-Out burger the size of her head... (she actually ate almost half of it. That's my girl.)
...feeding the ducks at Lake Murray stale tortilla chips. But mostly laughing hysterically as Grandpa throws chips in the air for the seagulls to catch. It was a little freaky, like a scene from "The Birds".
...making sure Grandma "Egg" was wrapped around Addie's dainty little finger.
...and don't forget Grandpa. He must also be sufficiently wrapped.
...running into the ocean...
...and then away from it. "Oh dear!" she kept yelling as she would motor away in her little soaked jeans.
Yes, I do exist in front of the camera. Briefly. And only with a toddler in front of my belly.
The Hotel del Coronado (or the "Hotel del" if you're in the know) is so beautiful. Not to mention the shopping center in the basement.
This is currently my desktop background.
Adelaide chased a poor seagull for probably fifteen minutes before the thing got smart and flew away.
Here she is on her birthday before we got back on the plane to get home, eating the biggest "child sized" omelet I have ever seen in my life. Hey, she was happy.
Then we wandered into the kid's second-hand store to find some sunglasses so Adelaide wouldn't feel murderous rage against the sun. It worked.
Then we got on the plane and went home. Miss you, Mom and Dad!
